There are hundreds and hundreds of plugins that you can use to make your blog easier to use, look more professional or simply have fun using. I have outlined five plugins that I use regularly in my blogs here but there are a lot more out there so don’t just take my word for it!

I will add to this list as time goes on but in the meantime have a look at the first five:

1. Akismet

This is the one plugin you have to install on your blog so that you don’t get any spam comments. It’s very easy to install but you do need an API key from wordpress.com. Just create a free account at wordpress.com and you will get your API key. Then install the Akismet plugin, copy and paste your API key and that’s it done.

It is well worth installing as I have another popular blog and Akismet blocks a lot of spam for me. You can also choose the option for Akismet to automatically delete any spam comments any older than a month.

2. Google XML Sitemaps

If you want people to find your blog then you need a sitemap for the search engines to use to index your site. Google XML Sitemaps creates a special XML structure of your blog making it easier for it to be seen.

The plugin supports all kinds of WordPress generated pages as well as custom URLs. Additionally it notifies all major search engines every time you create a post about the new content.

3. Comment Luv

This plugin will visit the site of the comment author while they type their comment and retrieve a selection of their last blog posts, tweets or digg submissions which they can choose one from to include at the bottom of their comment when they click submit.

It has been found to increase comments and the community spirit for the thousands of blogs that have installed it. With a simple install you will immediately start to find new and interesting blog posts, tweets and diggs from your own blog and community.

4. Topsy Retweet Button

This plugin encourages visitors to your blog to “ReTweet” your post to Twitter. This is a great plugin for getting you more exposure as other twitter followers of the Retweeter will also see your post.

It is fairly easy to use if you just search for “Topsy” in the wordpress plugins section, install and activate it and then follow the instructions in the settings.

5. TweetPost

TweetPost is a multiuser plugin which allows you to automatically tweet your new posts to your Twitter account. Tweets consist of a message (“New post from @user”) including a reference to your Twitter name, the title of the post, and a bit.ly shortened link to the post.

This is very easy to use, once installed just add your twitter name and password in the settings tab and then add your bit.ly account name and API key. If you don’t have a bit.ly account just go and set one up and you will find the API key in the account tab once verified.

I hear from lots of people who are new to online marketing and blogging who just don’t know what to do next. It isn’t surprising really though when you really think about it. When you start a new job you get taken to the area where you are going to work, are usually introduced to someone who either also does the job you are going to do or can show you the ropes. You then follow their instructions day by day and at first it seems as though you will never get the hang of it. Then one day without realising it you find yourself quite good at the job and don’t need to be shown how to do it anymore.

That’s in a normal job not an online business.

Now when you first decide to make an income – however small – online, you perhaps google such terms as “how to make money online” and find hundreds of websites promising you that you can earn $1,000 in 30 days or $500 a day within months. Now some of these opportunities are above board and the business model is sound, but there is one thing missing….full instructions on how to do this and someone to help you focus.

The biggest barrier to working online is lack of focus in my experience.

You buy an ebook that shows you how to do affiliate marketing. You try that with either no success or the odd commission payment that shows up in clickbank but you can’t get at it until you have made more sales.

So you look online again and find an ebook all about how to write articles and make money. You try that and submit your articles to the article directories and hit all sorts of problems and give up on that too as no one has shown you how to do it correctly and that it takes time.

I have worked online for quite a while now and speak from experience as I went through all of the above scenarios and more besides! Not to mention how much money you waste on buying products and ebooks.

My solution was to get myself a mentor, someone who had already been there and done it and could show me the ropes. It took a while before I could see progress and it wasn’t cheap – but it worked!

Just like that first day at work my mentor showed me how to plan out my goals, work out a strategy to reach those goals, write a plan of action down to the level of each particular task that needed to be executed. When I had finished this (it took a week to do) I had a solid plan of action, my goals set out and shared with my mentor to make me accountable and a direction to go in.

In a word I now had FOCUS.

So to succeed online you need to think about this seriously, otherwise you will waste weeks that turn into months and end up either feeling very frustrated and unhappy or just give up completely.

Now I am not trying to sell you anything here just help if I can. My first task was to build a blog and get it online so I had a platform to work from.

So my advice to you is to grab my free guide which will show you how to get a blog online and then we can take it from there. When you download the book I will keep in touch with you by email and give you a track to run on.

Take a hundred people at the start of their working careers and follow their progress for forty years until they reach retirement age, and here’s what you will find, according to the SSA:

1 will be wealthy

4 will be financially secure

5 will have to continue to work not because they want to but because they have to

36 will be dead

54 will be dead broke – dependent on handouts, family and friends or charity

That means 5% were successful – 95% were unsuccessful

I have finally finished my new product The Four Pillars.

The best way of describing it is to show you the testimonials I have received for this superb list building guide:

————————————————————————–
“I’m really intrigued with Keith’s new report, “The Four Pillars”. Having just
finished going through it, I can’t say for sure how well it works – but the
system appears solid, and I am going to test it out myself very shortly.

If you already have a blog and a Twitter account, and understand the value
of building your database of prospects and email list, then this nice little report will show you some smart, neat ‘tricks’ to maximize everything you do in this process of integrating Twitter, your blog and your email list.

Of everything, what I liked best was the SIMPLICITY of Keith’s system.
Try it out. I believe you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

All success

Love your Four Pillars guide.

You have a lot of the same philosophy as me when it comes to using places like Twitter, and I like the way you set up your four pillars. Very systematic. IMO, anyone new to Internet marketing could easily follow this guide.

One very important thing you have included is the links to free copies of related guides for those who are still lacking that knowledge. I see too many others who skip over this – or falsely assume everyone knows it.

You make no such assumption, and yet, by adding these guides as optional free downloads, you avoid cluttering up your guide for those who already have the basic knowledge.

Masterfully done.

Good job Keith,

What is one of the things you here about all of the time when looking to make money online?

The money is in the list.

OK so that’s good, now how do you go about building a list?

That’s where The Four Pillars comes in.

If you are just starting out in online information marketing then this guide is for you as it will show you step by step how to build a list from scratch without any previous experience or technical knowledge.

Before you start reading this I just want you to know that I am not a fan of sales copy that screams at you with lots of false promises and flashy buttons.

I believe that what I produce will work otherwise it is a waste of my time in creating it and your time in reading through and implementing it.

The Four Pillars is a system I devised for building a reactive list of people who would actually interact with me.

I am a big fan of twitter and have over 50,000 followers on my main twitter accounts. Many of these followers tweet to me regularly and retweet my jokes and quotes all day long.

These same people also take notice if I tweet something of interest or “marketing” to you and me!

Some people love Twitter and some people hate it.

It builds my lists on autopilot using this system so I love it obviously – it’s not what you know it’s how you use it that counts

This system will form the backbone of your online marketing and be a sales funnel for as long as you keep your business.

The Four Pillars is a method for building a large following of real people and directing them through the other 3 Pillars so that they are on your list and want to be there.

This method involves a bit of work – but it isn’t hard as I give you step by step instructions with my pdf manual, templates and supporting training videos.

I think it is a great system but that’s because it brings me great results. You will too if you complete the necessary steps and follow what I say.

It isn’t boring to do – no SEO, articles to write, backlinks to build.

All you have to do is implement the system and then interact with the people you attract.

So what will The Four Pillars do for you?

  • Show you how to build a twitter account from scratch with videos showing exactly how it works
  • Show you how to build a squeeze page that converts well
  • Show you how to build a blog from scratch and tweak it to interact with this system
  • Show you how to build a big list of interactive people who will want to buy what you tell them to buy

Another couple of reviews for The Four Pillars:

————————————————————————–

Keith I am blown away by this product. Now I have been in Internet Marketing for just over 2 years and one of the main important aspects has to be list building.

Keith has not only uncovered the main 4 “pillars” of list building but he has actually shown you how to build a responsive list very quickly.

And the great thing about 4 Pillars is that the list Keith builds are potential buyers – i.e. they are not freebie seekers. I highly recommend this product if you are serious about list building and making money from your list.

This one gets my vote!

Hi Keith

Just got through checking out the “sneak peek” copy of The Four Pillars ebook
and videos. If this isn’t the simplest, most logical and doable “list building on
steroids” system we have seen then we should stop looking now.

What a clever approach that anyone could easily pick up and run with.

And on almost a zero budget…Wow!!!

All the best with your WSO and thanks again for the preview copy – we better start using this ourselves.  We might even outsource this to our “Poodle” as even she could do it…LOL

Plus it’s about time she paid for her own “dogfood”…

Regards
Bronwyn and Keith

My Guarantee…

I offer a full 100% money back guarantee if you are not satisfied.

If after using the system for 7 days and you have not seen significant results you can either ask for a full no quibble refund or just ask me to help – you can’t say fairer than that!

But please try it out first as it does really work!

Click on the link to grab this guide before the price increases I have set the intro price at $37 and will increase it to $67 when 300 have been sold….

How To Build A List

So how easy is it to build a list?

That shouldn’t be your first question!

The first question is – why do I want to build a list?

I build lists to add value and help people. I don’t build lists to “sell” to prospects. Also I don’t like the word prospects – it sounds so salesy doesn’t it?

I read the book The Go Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann and it resonated so well with me. I have always been a helping type of person. I was in sales for years but always got the best feeling when I was helping a new salesperson. I also felt good when I solved a problem for a customer.

Another great inspiration for me is Dr Mani. He is a heart surgeon and an Infopreneur. He uses the money he attracts from his Internet work to pay for heart operations for babies with congenital heart disorders. How much more of a Go Giver can you be?

So when thinking about building a list – look past the money.

Don’t start out with the intention of taking from people. See how you can help them and add value. You will find that if you open your heart to giving you will also open your heart to receiving as well. The more value you add the more you will attract positivity into your life.

So to finish this post let me give you something in return. I found a great guy online recently called Harvey Segal. I downloaded his ebook about viral marketing. It is one of the best things I have read about marketing.

You don’t need to provide your name or email address just download it from the link below. It won’t cost you any money – just a little time to read it….
